‘Four Seasons’ by Andrew Wyeth - boxed folio - c1962

This is a beautiful boxed set of seven high quality original prints of works by Andrew Wyeth. The set was published in 1962 by Art in America and includes a preface by Lloyd Goodrich, Director of the Whitney Museum of American Art at the time.

The prints are unbound and come in a hard back folio which sits in an outer box. The folio is large - 17.5 x 14 inches - and each print measures 11.5 x 7.5 inches. The folio and prints are in excellent, near mint condition, apart from one print which has a small edge tear. The outer box shows minor damage. The titles of the paintings printed are: 1. 'Early October' 2. 'The berry picker' 3. 'Quaker ladies' 4. 'Teels island' 5. 'New leaves' 6. 'Storing up' 7. 'Canvasbacks'.

Provenance
This beautiful set comes from the private collection of Stephen Baring. The collection comprises two inherited collections plus twenty five years of personal collecting.
