‘The Codomas XI’ Matisse Jazz series - very large limited screenprint

This is a stunning, large, very high quality original screenprint of 'The Codomas XI', from from Henri Matisse's Jazz series. The screenprint is in virtual mint condition and is part of a limited edition of 200, a contemporary production by the Prestel gallery in Germany. It was produced using nine vibrant colours and was printed on hand made Somerset 300g/qm paper. Please note that the actual image was difficult to photograph and is guaranteed to be much stronger and more vibrant than photographed - just stunning.

The screenprint comes in a smart hard cover protective folder, with 'Jazz' printed on the outside. The folder comes boxed and also included in the set is a large high quality hardback book published by Prestel entitled 'Jazz: Henri Matisse'. The book measures 15.8 inches x 12 inches and consists of 175 printed pages on high quality stock, 90% of which are gorgeous offset productions of the entire Jazz series. The dust jacket of the book has a couple of short tears but the book itself is in excellent condition. The book is a work of art in itself.

Provenance
This beautiful work of art comes from the private collection of Stephen Baring. The collection comprises two inherited collections plus twenty five years of personal collecting.
