This is a large original signed oil painting by Duncan Grant, a leading member of the Bloomsbury group, a prominent group of artists which included Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf. The painting is guaranteed to be authentic and comes framed. It was painted in 1968 and is in very good condition, with no damage. Our price is low for an authentic original oil painting by a listed and well-known artist.

Provenance
Private collection of Stephen Baring. Collection includes two inherited collections and twenty five years of personal collecting. The collection numbers well over 1,000 works of art and a number will be sold over the coming weeks to fund a project.

Duncan Grant was a British visual artist who was born in 1885. Duncan Grant has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the National Galleries of Scotland and at the Tate Britain. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Cambridge; The Muses of Arts and Sciences' sold at Christie's King Street '20th Century British Art Evening Sale' in 2012 for $214,886. There have been Numerous articles about Duncan Grant, including 'Heads Up: Picasso & Modern British Art' written by Holly Williams for The Independent in 2012. The artist died in 1978.
