This is a simply beautiful Swiss made antique ladies pocket watch, dating from the late 1800s and in excellent condition for a watch dating back over 100 years - much brighter than photographed. The watch features a gorgeous fancy solid 18ct gold case, original Swiss crown-wound movement and excellent original enamel dial. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by our watchmaker and is in full working order. The watch comes complete with a new, quality presentation case. We sense it will make someone a very special present.
My asking price is below the value of the watch, given the continual rise in value of antique pocket watches of this quality. Such is the high quality of the watch, We will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order. Also, We offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. Please feel free to view the watch in central London.
The solid 18ct gold fancy case is in excellent condition for its age. It measures 27mm wide x 40mm long, including the stem/bow. Both stem and bow are in good condition and hallmarked for 18ct gold. Both back lids [cuvettes] close correctly, with the hinge in good order. The hallmarks on the inside back have rubbed off over time but the case is guaranteed to be solid 18ct gold.
The beautiful fancy enamel dial is in excellent condition for its age (brighter than photographed), with no significant wear. The original solid gold fancy hands are in excellent unbent condition and the lens is very clear.
The original crown-wound Swiss movement is in superb, bright, clean condition, with no significant wear. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by our watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
A superb antique pocket watch; full of charm and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
