A magnificent, exceptional, museum quality A. Lange & Söhne full hunter pocket watch (Ref 60306), dating from 1910 and in as near to mint all-original condition as you will find for a watch dating back over 100 years - there is virtually no wear at all. PLEASE NOTE that while the photos are ok, the watch is far more impressive in reality.

The watch is heavy in the hand (91.5g) and features a gorgeous big (52mm) gleaming solid 18ct rose gold full hunter case (very minor wear), original mint crisp white porcelain dial (no cracks, fading or chips - could have been made yesterday), original mint fancy gold hands, original clear antique lens, and a very clean Lange & Sohne crown wound movement. The movement is in full working order, with no issues. The same '60306' reference number is found on all parts of the case and movement, showing that the different parts of the watch are original to each other. The watch comes with its original leather pouch, which is a nice addition.

It goes without saying that the watch will make an excellent financial investment, as fewer and fewer antique pocket watches of this standard are coming to the market. The price might seem a lot to spend on a watch but to put it into perspective remember that you will happily spend far more on a car, the value of which will drop like a stone, while this watch will only ever rise in value. And if you live overseas we are happy to hand deliver the watch, subject to a deposit and purchase of a flight ticket.

The solid 18ct rose gold full hunter case is heavy and sheer quality - as you would expect from A Lange & Söhne - and is free from any personalisation. The case is in gleaming mint antique condition (very minor wear; minor slight dent in middle of inner cuvette) and measures a large 52mm wide x 11.4mm thick x 71mm high, including the original 18ct pink gold stem/bow. Both stem and bow are in excellent condition. The different parts of the case open and close perfectly, with the hinges in perfect order. The inside of the front lid is signed 'Glashutte', 'A Lange & Söhne' with Swiss hallmarks for 18k gold (0.750), the '60306' reference number, and a small Coronet within a circle. The inside of the outside back lid is also signed 'Glashutte', 'A Lange & Söhne' with Swiss hallmarks for 18k gold (0.750), the '60306' reference number, and a small Coronet within a circle. The outside of the inner cuvette is blank. The inside of the inner cuvette is hallmarked for Swiss 18k gold (0.750), the number '60306' and a small Coronet within a circle. All signage and hallmarks are crisp and clear.

The beautiful original, unrestored porcelain dial is in mint crisp white condition, with no fading, cracks or chips - exceptional for an original porcelain dial of this age. It is signed 'A, Lange & Söhne', 'Glashütte' and 'B/Dresden'. The original gold hands are also in mint antique condition and the original antique lens is very clear.

The original crown-wound movement is in excellent clean, bright, crisp condition and is in very good working order for its age, with no issues. It is signed 'A. Lange & Söhne', 'Glashütte' and 'Dresden' and carries the same '60306' reference number as the case.

This is a rare chance to own a rare, museum standard A Lange & Söhne antique pocket watch for anything approaching an affordable price. A watch of this nature will provide a cast-iron and rising financial investment, as well as a possession to enjoy.
