Jaeger LeCoultre automatic vintage watch - c1980s

Description

This is a rare Jaeger LeCoultre gents' watch, dating from the early 1980s and in very good, clean all-original condition. The watch features a large 35mm steel case, original signed crown, mint clean original dial with date function and a clean, freshly serviced high-grade automatic 28 jewel movement (Cal 900). It comes complete with a new leather strap and a new, quality non-JLC presentation case. The watch makes a very impressive statement on the wrist, something a bit different, and will only rise in value. Please not that any case marks you see in the photos have been exaggerated by the camera.

The solid steel case is in excellent bright condition - brighter than photographed - with very minor wear, and measures 35mm wide, excluding the original signed crown x 6.5mm thick x 37mm long, including the lugs. The inside back of the case is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre', 'Swiss', 'Acier Inoxydable' and '276'. The outside back of the case is signed with the '5000 42' and '1510276' reference numbers.

The original, unrestored white dial is in virtual mint condition, with no significant wear, and is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre', 'Automatic' and 'Swiss Made'. The original hands are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is very clear.

The automatic Jaeger LeCoultre 28 jewel movement (Cal 900) is very high quality, as you would expect from Jaeger LeCoultre, and is in excellent, clean, crisp condition. It is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre', 'Twenty-eight 28 Jewels', 'Automatic', 'Adjusted to four (4) positions', 'Swiss', '900' and the '2273588' movement serial number. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues. The date functions correctly.

I have put this lovely watch on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-JLC watch case.
