Enquire about this product

This is a beautiful and extremely rare set of four Chinese child tortoiseshell hair combs, dating from the early 19th Century and in excellent undamaged condition. Adult combs are often found but this smaller child size is extremely rare. The combs are carved from tortoiseshell and feature exquisite hand carving; they are certainly museum standard. Sothebys London verbally valued them at £3,500 and possibly more, depending on auction conditions, which makes my asking price extremely reasonable. They will certainly provide a strong financial investment.

A beautiful set of Chinese antiquity that will be much admired. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy. Feel free to return for a refund if you are not entirely happy. Contact us if you would like to view the set at our central London showroom - by appointment only.
