Description

This is a simply beautiful Tiffany & Co. watch that I have been looking forward to offering to my customers. I sense someone is going to receive a lovely present. Dating from the 1950s, the watch is of course genuine Tiffany and is in as near to mint condition as you will find for a watch of this age, with no significant wear. It features a solid platinum case set with 28 sparkly, genuine diamonds [more sparkly in reality than photographed], a high grade hand wound 17 jewel movement and a mint clean dial. The watch was made for the American market and the movement was supplied to Tiffany by Hamilton, one of the watchmakers who supplied Tiffany with movements during this era.

My asking price is already well below the value of the watch - a Bond Street jeweller would put a price of 8,000 plus on this watch.

The solid platinum diamond encrusted case is in excellent condition, with no significant wear and can be polished further to taste. There are 28 diamonds, all of which are genuine, high grade and firmly set. It is obviously very high quality, as you would expect from Tiffany, and measures 15mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 54mm long, including the articulated lugs. The case back closes correctly and the inside is marked for platinum.

The lovely dial is in mint clean condition and is signed 'Tiffany & Co'. The original blued steel hands are also in excellent, unbent condition, as is the lens.

The high quality hand wound 17 Jewel movement is simply excellent quality, featuring a centre jewel and gold jewel chatons. The movement is in near mint, gleaming condition and is signed 'Hamilton', 'USA', '17 Jewels', 'N240001' [the movement reference number] and '721'. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order.

The watch is on its original cord strap with white gold filled fittings, which is in excellent condition for a watch of this age. The strap includes a safety chain. The entire watch and strap measure 160mm tip to tip, which will fit a small wrist. However, the cord of the strap can easily be changed to increase the length. The watch comes complete with a new, quality watch box for safekeeping.

A stunning and valuable watch from one of history's most famous names; full of charm and elegance. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.

You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
