This is a simply beautiful ladies Rolex watch, dating from 1927, during the Art Deco era. It is in as near to mint condition as you will find for a watch dating back over eighty years, with no significant wear - better than photographed. It is clear that it has rarely been worn in its lifetime. It features a gorgeous solid 9ct gold case, sought-after swinging lugs, a beautiful mint clean sunburst dial and a high quality Rolex 15 jewel movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age. The watch comes on a quality leather strap and comes complete with a new, quality presentation case.

The solid 9ct gold hinged case is beautifully decorated and is in excellent, gleaming condition, with no significant wear. It measures 23mm wide, excluding the winding crown x 34mm long, including the gold swinging lugs. The back opens on a hinge and the inside back is signed 'Rolex', '20 worlds records - gold medal', 'Geneva Suisse', 'RWC Ltd' and carries the Glasgow import hallmarks for 9ct gold, dating to 1927, which shows that the watch was made for the British market.

The beautiful Art Deco 'sunburst' dial is in simply superb, clean condition. It is signed 'Rolex' and features the sought-after red 12. The original blued steel hands are in excellent unbent condition, and the lens is very clear.

The original hand-wound 15 jewel Rolex movement is in good, bright condition for its age, and is signed 'Rolex ', '15 Rubies' and 'Swiss Made'. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
