Please note: The glare from the photography lights has made some of the black number and dial markings appear faded. In reality they are all crisp unfaded black.
This is one of the most beautiful ladies' Art Deco watches I have seen - a very rare Rolex, dating from 1939 and in excellent gleaming, sparkly condition. The camera has caused glare on the dial, making it look faded, but the dial is in perfect even condition, with all the numbers sharp black. The watch features a 18ct white gold case set with 27 sparkly diamonds, original winding crown, very clean classic Art Deco dial and a clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Rolex 15 jewel movement - one of Rolex's highest grade movements of the era. It comes complete with a new satin finish strap and a new non-Rolex quality presentation case. The watch makes a very impressive statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a history, and will only rise in value. Looks far more gleaming and 'sparkly' in reality so whoever receives it will be thrilled.
You can feel confident buying from me, I have no interest or need to treat you or your money unprofessionally in any way. And I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy with your purchase. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation (I am approved to provide insurance valuations for wrist and pocket watches). I also welcome you to come and view the watch at my central London address, in New Bond Street - by appointment only. I offer my customers online prices - below value - with offline availability and service.

The solid 18ct white hinged case is in excellent gleaming condition and is set with 27 genuine sparkly diamonds. It measures 21mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 8mm thick x 34mm long, including the lugs. The case back closes tightly with the hinge in good order and the outside back carries the number '80'. The inside case is signed 'Rolex 20 World's Records', 'Geneve Swiss', 'R.W.C.Ltd' and a full set of English hallmarks (London) for 18ct gold, dating to 1939. The outside case is free from any personal inscription.
The beautiful classic Art Deco dial is in perfect condition, with no wear, and is signed 'Rolex'. The original blued steel hands are in very good, unbent condition, and lens is very clear.
The hand-wound Rolex 15 jewel movement is one of Rolex's highest grade movements of the era. It is in excellent, clean condition and is signed 'Rolex Patent', 'Timed 6 Positions For All Climates', 'Swiss Made' and '15 Jewels'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.
I have put this lovely watch on a new satin finish strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-Rolex watch case.
A rare, highly collectable watch; full of elegance and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
