Enquire about this product

This is a stunning IWC Schaffhausen Art Deco ladies watch, dating from the late 1930s and in superb, gleaming, glittering condition for a watch of this age, with very minor wear. The watch features a solid 18ct white gold case, which is decorated with 32 genuine diamonds and 23 genuine sapphires - well over a carat in total. It also features a clean original dial, an original winding crown, a clean, freshly serviced hand-wound IWC movement (Cal 431) and a solid 18ct white gold bracelet, which will fit approx 6.5"/6.7" wrist.

The watch comes complete with a quality presentation case for wrapping as the perfect gift. The watch is extremely rare - IWC made very few ladies' watches in this early era - and makes a very impressive statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a histor. It will only rise in value over time, providing an excellent financial investment. The watch is better in reality than photographed so we know someone is going to be very pleased to receive it.

The solid 18ct white gold hinged case is beautifully decorated with 32 diamonds and 23 sapphires. The stones are genuine and are all present. The case is in excellent gleaming condition, with very minor wear, and measures 14.5mm wide, excluding the original unsigned winding crown x 45mm long, including the articulated lugs. The inside back of the case is signed 'Eszeha' (the case maker), '750 Weissgold' and the '45949' case reference number. The outside back of the case is blank with no personal inscription.
Dial The original, unrestored dial is in clean condition, with very minor wear, and features lovely Breguet numbers. It is signed 'International Watch Company' and 'Swiss'. The original blued-steel hands are in excellent unbent condition and the lens is very clear.

The hand-wound IWC movement (Cal 431) is in excellent, clean, crisp condition - it is clear from the condition that the movement has rarely been worked on and very carefully. It is signed 'International Watch Co', 'Swiss' and 'C431'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.

This lovely watch is on a solid 18ct white gold bracelet, which is in excellent gleaming condition. It will fit an approx 6.5"/6.75" wrist (a jeweller can shorten it if necessary). The clasp is signed with the 'JDB' makers mark and '750' for 18ct gold. The watch comes complete with a new quality non-IWC watch box.

A rare, highly collectible vintage watch from a top maker; full of meaning and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
