Cartier 18k Gold Ladies’ Vintage Watch - c1960s

This is an extremely rare ladies' Cartier vintage watch, in near mint condition, with no significant wear. Dating from the 1960's, the watch features a solid 18ct gold case, a mint original dial and a clean, freshly serviced high grade Cartier movement. I have added a high quality leather strap, with the original gold-plated Cartier buckle attached. This is a watch that can be worn by day or in the evening, and will always be a much admired talking point. It comes in a smart watch box with a genuine Cartier watch pouch. World famous Cartier of Paris has always been one of history's most admired and sought after brands. They produce two watch ranges, a cheaper mass market range such as 'Les Must de Cartier' and then a more exclusive top end range. This stunning ladies watch is very much the latter, not to be confused with the cheap gold plated models.

My asking price is well below the true value of the watch, given the continual rise in value of vintage Cartier watches of this quality. I will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order. I will also provide an insurance valuation, which will be in excess of my asking price. The solid 18ct gold case is in excellent gleaming condition, with no significant wear. The case measures 25mm wide, excluding the original sapphire cabachon winding crown x 31mm long, including the lugs. The outside back of the case is signed 'Cartier' 'Paris' with the case reference no '960580090' and Swiss 18ct hallmarks. The inside back is signed 'Swiss' and carries the appropriate Swiss hallmarks for solid 18ct gold.

The original, unrestored Cartier dial is in flawless condition and is signed 'Cartier' and 'Swiss'. The original blued steel hands are in excellent, unbent condition and the lens is very clear.

The hand wound high grade 17 jewel movement [Cal 21] is made by Cartier and is extremely high quality. It is signed 'Cartier', '73-1' '17 Rubis', '17 seventeen jewels', 'Adjustments 6 six positions', '21', 'Swiss' and the '9596' movement reference number. The movement has recently been cleaned and oiled by my watchmaker and is in excellent working order for its age.

I have added a high quality brown leather strap to this watch, attached to which is the original gold-plated Cartier buckle. The watch comes complete with a new, genuine Cartier watch pouch and a new, quality presentation box.
