This is a simply stunning ladies' Art Deco diamond and emerald wristwatch by Asprey - the world-renowned historic jewellers. Dating from the 1920s, the watch is in very good condition for a watch of this age. The cosmetic condition of the watch when worn is excellent; the only significant wear is uneveness to the back of the case, which is of course not visible when worn. The features a diamond-encrusted solid platinum case, original emerald cabachon winding crown, original solid 9ct white gold bracelet and clasp, a very clean Art Deco dial and a clean and freshly-serviced Swiss 15 jewel movement. It comes complete with a period watch box.
Asprey jewellers of Bond Street, London, have been in business since 1781 and have been assigned Royal warrants since the 1800s. They are one of history's most exclusive names. The watch is rare and highly collectable in this kind of condition; an excellent financial investment.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
The solid platinum case is just stunning! Beautifully engraved and encrusted with genuine glittery diamonds. It is in very good condition apart from an uneven back. The case measures 19mm wide, excluding the original cabachon emerald winding crown crown [very rare and just beautiful] x 38mm long including the decorated lugs. The back of the case closes correctly and the inside of the case back is signed 'Platine' [for platinum], and the outside carries the '10325' case reference number.
The beautiful Art Deco dial is in excellent, clean condition, with no marks and is signed 'Asprey'. The original blued steel hands are perfect unbent condition and the lens is very clear, with no significant marks or scratches.
The quality Swiss hand-wound movement is in very good condition and is signed 'Swiss made' and '15 Jewels'. The movement has just been oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
This beautiful watch is on its original fully adjustable solid 9ct white gold bracelet, with solid 9ct gold clasp. It will fit all normal wrist sizes. The watch comes in a period vintage watch box, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
A very special vintage watch from one of history's most famous names; full of charm and elegance. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
