This is an extremely rare, beautiful Tiffany & Co gents watch, dating from 1927 and in as near to mint all-original condition as you will find for a watch of this age - it has clearly rarely been worn in its lifetime. It is one of the best examples of an early wrist watch we have seen. The watch carries London silver hallmarks showing that it was made for the English market. Our price is extremely reasonable for an early Tiffany & Co watch in this condition.
The watch features a 34mm solid silver double hinged case (large for the era), original winding crown, hand-wound Swiss 15 jewel movement and a beautiful mint clean original porcelain dial with original 'cathedral' hands. The watch comes complete with a new expensive custom made Hirsch leather strap and a quality watch box for safekeeping. As with all our watches, it is freshly serviced by a master watchmaker.
The solid silver double hinged case is in excellent gleaming condition, with no significant wear. It measures 34mm wide, excluding the original crown x 10.5mm thick x 43mm long, including the gorgeous articulated lugs. The front bezel opens on a hinge, as does the outer back lid and inner cuvette that covers the movement. The inside of the outer case carries carried London hallmarks for sterling silver, dating to 1927.
The beautiful original porcelain dial is in near mint clean bright condition, with no chips or cracks, and is signed 'Tiffany & Co'. The original 'cathedral' hands are in excellent, unbent condition, and the later lens is perfectly clear.
The hand-wound Swiss 15 jewel movement is in absolutely excellent clean condition. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order.
This beautiful watch is on a new custom made Hirsch leather strap, complete with gleaming steel buckle. The strap is a parallel 12mm gents length strap. The watch will be presented in a new, quality watch box for safekeeping.
A superb, very rare watch from one of watch history's most exclusive names; will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
We offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy with your purchase. We also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation (we are approved to provide insurance valuations for wrist and pocket watches). We also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address - by appointment only. We offer our customers online prices - below value - with offline availability and service.
