Description

This is a simply beautiful gents' Tiffany & Co. vintage watch from my private collection, in incredible condition for a watch of this age, with virtually no wear. Dating from 1939, during the late Art Deco era, the watch features a gleaming solid 9ct gold case, a gorgeous clean dial and quality Swiss movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order, winding and setting as though the watch was made yesterday. The watch was made for the English market and carries a full set of London hallmarks. The watch comes complete with a new quality Hirsch leather strap and a new watch box.

You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.

The solid 9ct gold hinged Art Deco case is larger than many cases from this early era. It is in near-mint, gleaming condition and measures 22mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 40mm long, including the gold fixed bar lugs. The back of the case closes correctly on a hinge and the inside back carries London hallmarks for solid 9ct gold, dating to 1939. It is also signed 'WJH' [the casemakers] and the '827401' case reference number.

The beautiful Art Deco dial is in perfect clean condition and features applied Arabic numbers. It is signed 'Tiffany & Co'. The original blued steel hands are in excellent unbent condition, and the lens is perfectly clear.

The original hand-wound Swiss 15 jewel movement is in excellent bright condition for irs age and high quality. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in superb working order, setting and winding as though it were produced yesterday.

As mentioned, this lovely watch is on a new high quality Hirsch leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new watch box, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.

A superb collection-standard vintage watch from one history's most famous names; full of charm and elegance. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
