This is a beautiful example of a Rolex Oyster Royal in steel [Model 6427/Ref 788624]. Dating from 1962, the watch is in excellent condition, better than photographed, and is of course authentic. The watch features a stainless steel case, original signed screwdown crown, a clean dial with centre seconds hand. The watch comes complete with a new Hirsch leather strap and a quality presentation box.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
The solid steel case is in excellent clean gleaming condition, with virtually no wear. The case measures 34mm wide, excluding the original signed screwdown crown x 41mm long, including the lugs. The model and reference numbers are clearly visible between the lugs. The case back screws correctly closed and the inside is correctly signed 'Montres Rolex SA', 'Geneva Switzerland', 'Patented', 'Stainless steel', '162' and '6427' [the model reference number]. Between the lugs is the '788624' reference number.
The lovely dial is in mint clean condition and is signed 'Rolex', 'Oyster Royal', 'Precision' and 'Swiss'. The hour batons and Rolex coronet emblem are all applied. The original hands, including centre seconds hand, are also in excellent condition, and the lens is very clear.
The Rolex hand-wound 17 jewel movement (Cal 1210) is excellent quality, as you would expect and in crisp, clean condition. It is signed 'Montres Rolex SA', 'Swiss Geneva', 'Seventeen 17 jewels', '1210' and '65818'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in excellent working order.
This beautiful watch is on a new Hirsch leather strap and comes complete with a new presentation box for safekeeping and wrapping as the perfect gift.
A simply superb watch from one of history's most famous names; will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
