This is a beautiful, very rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual in solid 18ct gold. The watch is in absolutely superb all-original condition and comes complete with a new Rolex strap and Rolex buckle. The watch looks cleaner in reality than photographed. Very few of these were made in this mid size and they are hard to find. Dating from 1964 the watch features a gleaming solid 18ct gold case, an automatic 26 jewel movement [Cal 1130], a beautiful original dial and a Rolex strap and buckle. It is a mid size model, originally made as a gents watch but unisex by todays larger standards.

The solid 18ct gold case is in excellent gleaming condition - much more gleaming than photographed - and measures 30mm wide, excluding the original screw-down crown [signed with the famous Rolex crown emblem] x 36mm long, including the lugs. The case back screws correctly closed and the inside is correctly signed 'Montres Rolex SA', 'Geneva Switzerland', 'Patented', 'RWCLtd', '6551' [the reference number] with the appropriate Swiss hallmarks for solid 18ct gold. The case carries 18ct gold hallmarks on all sections.

The lovely original, unrestored dial is in excellent clean condition, and is signed 'Rolex Oyster Perpetual', 'Officially Chronometer Officially Certified' and 'Swiss made'. The original hands are also in good condition, and the original lens is perfectly clear.

The Rolex automatic 26 jewel movement [Cal 1130] is excellent quality, as you would expect. It is signed 'Rolex Perpetual', 'Montres Rolex SA', 'Geneva', 'Swiss', 'Adjusted five [5] positions and temperature', 'Twenty six [26] Jewels', '1130' and the movement reference number '3069'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order.

This beautiful watch is on a genuine, new Rolex strap with a genuine Rolex goldplated buckle attached. It is correctly signed and hallmarked for 18ct gold. The watch comes complete with a new, quality non-Rolex watch box.
