This is a beautiful Omega steel watch, dating from 1952 and excellent clean condition. It features a lovely white, professionally restored original dial, clean steel case with original winding crown and a near-mint Omega 17 jewel hand-wound movement [Cal 266]. The watch comes complete with a new Hirsch leather strap with the original Omega steel vintage buckle, and a new quality presentation case. The watch will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a lovely historical watch to wear and enjoy.
The solid steel case is in lovely clean condition, with extremely minor wear. It measures 34mm wide, excluding the original signed crown x 11mm thick x 41mm long including the lugs. The back closes tightly and the inside is signed ‘Dennison’ (the famous English casemakers who made English market cases for many of the leading Swiss watchmakers, including Rolex and Omega), ‘Made In England’, ‘Denisteel’ with the ‘13322’ & ‘0927’ reference numbers. The outside back has a lovely satin finish.
The original white professionally restored dial is in mint condition - just lovely. It features lovely applied steel hour markers and Omega insignia and is signed ‘Omega’ and ‘Swiss made’. The original dauphin steel hands, including sub-seconds hand, are in good unbent condition, with minor wear, and the lens is very clear.
The hand-wound 17 jewel movement [Cal 266] is in absolutely superb crisp, clean condition. It is signed ‘Omega’, ‘Swiss’, ‘17 Jewels’, ‘266’ and the ‘13567800’ movement reference number. The movement has just been oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order.
We have put this beautiful watch on a new Hirsch leather strap, attached to which is the original Omega steel vintage buckle. The watch also comes complete with a new quality watch box for safekeeping.
We provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation (We are approved to provide insurance valuations for wrist and pocket watches). We also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in New Bond Street - by appointment only. We offer our customers online prices - below value - with offline availability and service. And I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy with your purchase.
