Please note that the dial has photographed badly because of a very thin removable film over the lens, which has made the marking look fuzzy. In reality the original dial and dial marking are in crisp mint condition.
This is a fine example of the rare Omega Speedmaster Mark 4.5 chronograph (Model ref ‘176.0012’), dating from around 1979 and in excellent all original condition - far better than photographed. The Mark 4.5 was a transitional model between the Mark 4 and Mark 5.
The watch features a large (42mm) stainless steel screwback case (minor wear to the rear, which the camera has magnified), original signed winding crown and pushers, a mint clean original, unrestored slate dial with day/date function, original signed Omega steel bracelet (8.5”-9”max wrist size) and original Omega 17 jewel automatic movement (Cal 1045 - Lemania 5100). The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order, with all functions working correctly. The watch comes complete with a new, quality non-Omega presentation case. It will provide a strong financial investment as well as a great watch to wear and show off.
The stainless steel screwback case is in excellent clean condition apart from some minor wear to the rear, which the camera has magnified. It measures a large 42mm wide, excluding the original signed winding crown and pushers x 15mm thick x 45mm long. The back screws correctly closed and the inside back is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab Suisse Swiss Made', 'Acier Inoxydable', 'Brevet + 508925' and the '176.0012' model reference. The outside back carries the famous Seamaster emblem.
The original, unrestored slate grey dial is is in mint clean condition (made to look fuzzy by the camera) and features a German Day/date. It is signed 'Omega Speedmaster Automatic' and 'Swiss Made'. The original hands are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is very clear.
The original Omega automatic 17 jewel movement (Omega Cal 1045 - Lemania 5100) is in excellent, bright, clean condition, and is signed 'Omega', 'Swiss', 'Seventeen 17 jewels', the '45541858' serial number and the '1045' cal number. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order with all functions working correctly.
This beautiful watch is on its original Omega steel bracelet, which is fully signed and in excellent condition. The watch will fit a 8.5"-9" maximum wrist size. It comes complete with a new, quality presentation box for safekeeping.
A superb collection-standard vintage watch from one of watch history's most famous names. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
