This is a beautiful Omega Seamaster automatic gents' vintage watch, dating from 1951 and in very good all-original condition, with very minor wear. It features a 34.5mm gold top/steel screw back case, original signed winding crown, clean original, unrestored dial and a clean, freshly serviced 'bumper' automatic Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 351). It comes complete with a new Hirsch leather strap and a new, quality non-Omega presentation case. Given the fine original condition, the watch will only rise in value.
The gold capped screw back case is in very good original condition, with very minor wear, and measures 34.5mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 10.5mm thick x 43mm long, including the lugs. The case back closes tightly and the inside is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab Suisse Swiss Made', 'Acier Staybrite' and the '2577-14' model reference. The outside case is free from any personal inscription.
The original, unrestored dial is in very clean condition, with no significant wear, and features really beautiful applied gold numbers and hour markers. It is signed 'Omega Automatic', 'Seamaster' and 'Swiss'. The original hands, including flyback centre seconds, are in very good, unbent condition, and original lens is clear.
The Omega 17 jewel 'bumper' automatic movement is in very good, clean condition and is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Seventeen 17 Jewels', 'Unadjusted', '351' and serial number '13228984'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.
We have put this lovely watch on a new Hirsch leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-Omega watch box.
A rare, highly collectable watch from one of history's most famous watchmakers; full of charm and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
