Omega Seamaster automatic gents vintage watch - c1956

This is a simply beautiful Omega Seamaster, in as near to mint, gleaming condition as you will find for a watch dating from 1956 - a superb example with virtually no wear. The photos of the movement and inside case have come out dark - both are in bright gleaming condition. The watch features a mint clean dial, original signed Omega lens, gleaming steel case and 20 jewel automatic movement [Cal 501]. The watch comes complete with a new leather strap and new quality watch box. The watch will provide an excellent financial investment.

The solid steel case is in superb, clean condition with no significant wear. It measures 33.5mm wide, excluding the unsigned crown x 41.5mm long including the lugs. The back closes tightly and the inside is signed 'Omega Watch Company', 'Fab Suisse Swiss Made', 'Acier Inoxydable' and reference '2846 3 SC'.

The beautiful silvered dial is in mint clean condition - just stunning. It features applied alternate dart hour markers and Arabic numbers and Omega insignia and is signed 'Omega', 'Automatic', 'Seamaster' and 'Swiss made'. The original steel hands, including centre-seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the original signed Omega lens (signed with a tiny Omega emblem in the centre) is extremely clear.

The automatic 20 jewel movement [Cal 501] is in excellent bright condition. It is in excellent working order and is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Swiss', 'Twenty 20 Jewels', '501' and the '15187562' movement reference number. The movement has just been oiled by a professional watchmaker.

We have put this beautiful watch on a new leather strap. The watch also comes complete with a new quality watch box for safekeeping.
