Omega Seamaster 600 gents vintage watch - c1966

This is a Omega Seamaster 600, dating from 1966 and in good all condition, apart from the replacement lens. The watch features a 34mm steel/gold top case, original signed winding crown, original unrestored dial and an extremely clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 601). It comes complete with a used non- Omega leather strap, a modern Omega gold-plated buckle and a quality non-Omega watch box.

The steel back/gold-plated top case is good condition, with a couple of scratches on the back. It measures 34mm wide, excluding the original signed winding crown x 40mm long, including the lugs. The inside back of the case is signed ‘Omega Watch Co’, ‘Fab Suisse Swiss Made’, ‘Carrure-Lunette Plaque Or G 40 Microns’, ‘Fond Acier Inoxydable’ and ‘135-011’. The outside back of the case carries the famous Seamaster emblem.

The original, unrestored dial is in very clean condition, with minor wear, and is signed 'Omega Seamaster 600’ and ‘Swiss Made’. The original hands, including centre seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the lens is very clear.

The hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 601) is in excellent, clean, crisp condition - it is clear from the condition that the movement has rarely been worked on and very carefully. It is signed ‘Omega Watch Co’, ‘Seventeen 17 Jewels’, ‘Adjusted two (2) positions’, ‘Swiss’, ’601’ and ‘23283521’. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.

This lovely watch on a used leather strap, attached to which is a modern gold plated Omega buckle. The watch comes complete with a new non-Omega watch box.
