Please note: The original black dial hasn't photographed well and looks grey, whereas it is black and very clean in reality.
This is a very rare Omega DeVille chronograph with a 'Panda' dial. Dating from 1970, the watch is in very good all original condition. The watch features a steel case, original signed windiing crown, very clean dial with and a very crisp, clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 860). It comes complete with a new non-Omega leather strap and a new, quality non-Omega presentation case.
The steel case is in original, unpolished condition, with some wear here and there that can be polished out if you wish (It is a matter of personal taste and we can do that for you at no extra charge) and measures 36mm wide, excluding the original pushers and signed winding crown x 12mm thick x 40mm long, including the lugs. The case back screws closed and the outside is signed 'Waterproof' (please note that given the age of the watch it will no longer be waterproof). The inside case is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab Suisse Swiss Made', 'Acier Inoxydable' and the '145.017' model reference number.
The original, unrestored 'Panda' dial is in excellent clean condition. It is signed 'Omega', 'DeVille' and 'Swiss Made'. The original hands are also in excellent, unbent condition, and the lens is extremely clear.
The hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 860) is in excellent, clean condition, and is excellent quality, as you would expect. It is signed 'Omega', 'Seventeen 17 Jewels', '860' 'Swiss' and the '32832413' serial number. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in excellent working order.
We have put this lovely watch on a new leather strap, which we can change for a different colour if you wish. The watch comes complete with a new, non-Omega watch case.
A rare, highly collectable watch from one of history's most famous names. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
