Omega Seamaster Memomatic automatic alarm watch - c1970

This is a very fine example of a rare watch - the Omega Memomatic Seamaster alarm watch in steel with silvered dial and original steel bracelet. Dating from 1970, the watch is in excellent gleaming all-original condition, with no significant wear. It features a big 40mm solid steel case with original crown and alarm button, near mint original dial with date function, original Omega signed lens, original steel bracelet and original 19 jewel Omega automatic movement (Cal 980). The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order. The watch comes complete with a new, quality presentation case. The watch comes from Stephen Bring's private collection and we hope the new owner will enjoy it as much as he had.

The big solid steel screw back case is in excellent, gleaming condition and measures 40mm wide, excluding the Omega signed winding crown x 14.5mm thick x 44mm long, including the lugs. The back of the case screws correctly closed and the inside is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab. Suisse Swiss Made', 'Acier inoxydable' and the '166.072' model reference. The outside back of the case carries the Omega Seamaster logo.

The beautiful original, unrestored silvered dial is in excellent clean condition and is signed 'Omega', 'Memomatic' and 'Swiss Made'. The original hands are in excellent condition, and the original lens (carries a tiny Omega emblem in the centre) is very clear.

The original Omega 19 jewel automatic movement ‘980’ is in excellent, bright, crisp condition. It is signed 'Omega', 'Nineteen 19 Jewels', '980', the '31336168' movement serial number and 'Swiss'. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order, with the alarm function working.

This stunning watch is on its original Omega steel bracelet, which is in excellent clean condition. The bracelet is signed 'Omega', 'Stainless steel' and the '1162' reference number. The watch comes complete with a new, quality presentation case, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
