This is a stunning Omega chronograph watch, dating from 1958 and in excellent original, unrestored condition. The watch features a 36mm solid 18ct gold case, original signed winding crown, a perfectly clean original dial and a clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 320). It comes complete with a new Hirsch leather strap, an Omega 18ct gold buckle and a new, quality non-Omega presentation case. The watch makes a very impressive statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a history, and will only rise in value.
The solid 18ct yellow gold case is in excellent bright condition and measures 36mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 8mm thick x 43mm long, including the lovely curved solid gold lugs. The case back closes tightly and the inside case is signed 'Omega Watch Co', the '186085' serial number and the appropriate hallmarks for Swiss 18ct gold.
The original, unrestored dial is in virtual mint condition and features gold applied hour markers and Omega emblem. It is signed 'Omega', 'Swiss Made'. The original hands, including centre seconds hand, are in fine condition and the lens is very clear.
The hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 320) is in excellent, clean condition and is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Seventeen 17 Jewels', '320', the '16209447' serial number and 'Swiss'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.
We have put this lovely watch on a new Hirsch leather strap, attached to which is a 18ct gold Omega buckle. The watch comes complete with a new non-Omega watch case.
A fine, highly collectible Omega chronograph; full of history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
