This is a beautiful, very rare Jaeger LeCoultre gents' watch, dating from the 1930s Art Deco era and in very good condition for its age - brighter than photographed. It features a stunning silvered dial, rare steel case with original recessed signed crown and 15 jewel hand wound movement. The watch comes complete with a used leather strap and new quality watch box. The watch will provide an excellent financial investment. Please note that the watch is smaller than todays larger standard, so please check the case measurements below.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
The curved Art Deco solid steel rectangular case is in excellent, clean condition with minor wear. It measures 22.5mm wide, excluding the original recessed crown x 39mm long including the lugs. The back closes tightly and the outside is signed '488236'. The inside is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre', 'Acier Staybrite' and reference '52377'.
The original, restored silvered dial is in excellent clean condition. It features applied Arabic numbers and is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre' and 'Swiss'. The original blued steel hands, including sub-seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the lens is very clear.
The original hand-wound movement has just been oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order - brighter and cleaner than photographed.
This beautiful watch comes complete with a used leather strap. The watch also comes with a new quality watch box.
A very special vintage watch from one of history's most famous names; highly collectable. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
