This is an absolutely stunning, huge IWC Schaffhausen conversion watch - a simply amazing piece of engineering that will certainly be noticed on your wrist. The photos genuinely do not begin to do the watch justice, we assure you of that. Dating from 1901, the watch started life as a pocket watch and has been expertly converted into an amazing wristwatch. As such it is completely unique - no one else on the planet will have this watch. We predict that because of their unique nature conversions of this quality will rise hugely in value. This is without doubt the most impressive conversion we have personally seen.
The watch is in mint gleaming condition, with no significant wear whatsoever, and features a huge 47.5mm solid steel case, large winding crown, very clean hand-wound IWC movement (high-grade - correctly signed 'JWC'. The JWC signature was used by IWC between 1895 and 1905 for German market watches) and a beautiful original mint white dial and original fancy gold hands. The watch comes on a new Maurice Lacroix steel watch bracelet (butterfly clasp), which would cost hundreds of pounds to buy, and a new, quality presentation case. An excellent financial investment as well as a beautiful possession to show off and enjoy.
We provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation (We are approved to provide insurance valuations for wrist and pocket watches) so you can feel confident buying from us.
The huge steel case is in mint gleaming condition, with no significant wear whatsoever. It measures 47.5mm wide, excluding the lovely large winding crown x 12.5mm thick x 57mm long, including the lugs, with a 20mm lug width. The back of the case has been fitted with a glass observation lens, through which the antique movement can be viewed.
The beautiful antique white dial is in mint clean condition - no chips, cracks or fading - with crisp and perfect black dial markings. It is signed 'International Watch Co' and 'Schaffhausen'. The beautiful original fancy antique gold hands are in excellent, unbent condition, and the glass lens is perfectly clear.
The hand-wound IWC antique high-grade movement is in excellent clean condition, brighter than photographed, and features a centre jewel and screwed in jewel chatons. It is correctly signed 'JWC'. The JWC signature was used by IWC between 1895 and 1905 for German market watches (Please google for confirmation). The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.
This amazing watch is on a new high-grade Maurice Lacroix steel watch bracelet, which is in mint gleaming condition. The 'butterfly' bracelet is signed and is at full factory length. It can be reduced in size by removing links. The watch comes complete with a new, quality watch box.
