Hermes Art Deco gents vintage watch - c1930s

This is a very rare gents Hermes Art Deco watch, dating from the 1930s and in good all-original condition. The watch features a beautifully decorated metal case, and quality hand-wound 16 jewel Swiss movement [made for Hermes by Vargo Watch Co] and a beautiful original Art Deco dial. The watch comes complete with a new, quality Hirsch genuine crocodile strap and a new quality watch box.

The metal case is in good, bright condition and features beautiful carved decoration. It measures 26mm wide, excluding the original crown x 39mm long, including the lugs. The case back screws correctly closed and the inside is correctly signed ‘Vargo Watch Co', ‘Swiss’ and ‘269 605’.

The beautiful original, un-restored Art Deco dial is in generally clean condition, with some wear here and there. It is signed 'Hermes’ and ‘Swiss’. The original hands are in very good condition, as is the lens.

The 16 jewel Swiss Stona movement is of excellent quality and in very clean condition. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in good working order.

This beautiful watch is on a high quality Hirsch crocodile strap and the watch comes complete with a new, quality watch box.
