This is another simply beautiful gents Dunhill vintage silver tank watch from my private collection. Dating from 1930, during the Art Deco era, the watch is in excellent condition for its age and features a gleaming, heavy solid silver case, gorgeous dial and high quality Swiss movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order. The watch comes complete with a leather strap and a new watch box.

You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.

The heavy solid stainless steel cushion case is larger than many cushion cases from this early era. It’s in very good, bright condition with beautiful inlay along the sides. It can of course be polished even further to taste. The case measures 26mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 42mm long, including the silver fixed bar lugs. The back of the case closes very tightly shut and is unsigned. The inside carries London import hallmarks for solid silver, dating to 1930. Inside a diamond shape is ‘H&J;’ or ‘M&J;’ and the reference number ‘381720 J’.

The handsome Art Deco dial is in excellent clean condition and features lovely raised gold coloured numbers. It is signed ‘Dunhill’. The original skeleton cathedral hands are in excellent unbent condition, and the lens is clear.

The original high-grade hand-wound movement is in excellent bright, clean condition. It was Swiss made for Dunhill and is signed ‘Rival’ and '15 Jewels’. Behind the balance wheel it is signed ‘Swiss made’ ‘Patented’. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.

This lovely watch is on a new quality black leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a watch box, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.

A superb collection-standard vintage watch from one history's most famous names; full of charm and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
