This is another beautiful gents Dunhill vintage watch from my private collection. It dates from the 1930’s, during the Art Deco era. The watch is in excellent original condition and features a gleaming stainless steel case, gorgeous original dial and high quality Swiss movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order. The watch comes with the original leather strap with its fine solid silver buckle as well as a new watch box.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
The heavy solid steel cushion case is in very good, bright condition, with the kind of minor wear you would expect. It can of course be polished further to taste. The case measures 25mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 35mm long, including the silver fixed bar lugs. The back of the case snaps tightly shut and is signed ‘Boden Edelstahl’ The inside of the case is unsigned and is in excellent condition for its age.
The beautiful original, un-restored Art Deco dial is in clean condition for a watch of this age – with only two minor dings above and below the Dunhill signature. The dial features lovely large green numbers and is signed ‘Dunhill’. The original cathedral hands are in excellent unbent condition, with all of the luminous intact, and the glass lens, which may or may not be original, is near-mint.
The original high-grade hand-wound movement is in excellent bright, clean condition and is unsigned. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order for a watch of this age.
This beautiful watch is on a quality brown leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new watch box, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
A superb collection-standard vintage watch from one history's most famous names; full of charm and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
