Description

This is a superb watch, very high quality, and in excellent rarely worn condition. The watch was released by Corum in 1993 as a limited edition - just 120 pieces worldwide. The 'Reserve de Marche', as this model is called, features a heavy solid platinum case, original signed platinum screwdown crown, original engine turned guilloche dial displaying running seconds, power reserve and calendar, sapphire crystal lens, platinum dial markings and hands and a high grade Corum 19 jewel automatic movement with 18ct gold rotor, with sapphire crystal lens back. It comes complete with its original crocodile strap and original Corum steel and white gold butterfly clasp. The watch will be presented in a new, quality non-Corum presentation case. The watch makes a very impressive statement on the wrist and will only rise in value. The photos are a bit dark so you can expect the watch to be brighter in reality.

You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy with your purchase. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation (I am approved to provide insurance valuations for high wrist and pocket watches). I also welcome you to come and view the watch at my central London address, in New Bond Street - by appointment only. I offer my customers online prices - below value - with offline availability and service.

The solid platinum case is in excellent bright condition, with minor wear on the outside back. It measures 34mm wide, excluding the original signed screwdown crown x 9mm thick x 39.5mm long, including the solid platinum lugs. The case features a sapphire crystal lens through which to view the beautiful movement. The rear case is signed '6 ATM - Water Resistant 200 FT' and has model ref: 73.109.70 and the serial no: 495312. The case carries a number of hallmarks.

The original, unrestored engine turned guilloche dial is really beautiful. It is light cream/silver and in mint condition, apart from minor wear to a couple of the hour markers if viewed under a microscope. The applied hour markers and Corum emblem are platinum. The dial is signed 'Corum', 'Automatic', 'Reserve' and 'Swiss Made' and features seconds counter, power reserve and calendar. The original hands are all made from platinum and are in mint condition, as is the original sapphire crystal lens.

The high grade automatic Corum damascened nickel 19 jewel movement features a monometallic balance and 18ct gold rotor. It is in perfect condition and is signed 'Corum', 'Adjusted five (5) positions', the '197162' serial number and 'Nineteen (19) jewels'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in perfect working order.

This lovely watch is on its original gently used crocodile strap, attached to which is a double folding steel and white gold butterfly clasp. The clasp carries the Corum emblem and is signed 'acier inox + or' and 'stainless steel + gold'. The watch comes complete with a new, quality non-Corum presentation case.

A rare, highly collectable watch; will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
