This is a simply beautiful, very rare Breitling Cadette gents watch, dating from 1961 and in excellent condition - far more clean in reality than in the slightly muddy photos. In other words, if you like the photos you will absolutely love the watch. It is signed four times and features a large 36mm solid steel case, a very clean two-tone dial, original signed winding crown and a Breitling 17 jewel movement [Cal 523N]. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order. The watch comes on a new leather strap and comes complete with a new, quality presentation case.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
The solid steel case is large for the era and is in excellent, bright condition. It measures a large 36mm, excluding the original signed winding crown x 22mm long, including the lugs. The back closes tightly and the inside back is signed 'Fond Acier Inoxydable' and the '953538' case reference number. The outside back is signed 'Breitling', 'Shockprotected' and the '1354' model number.
The beautiful two-tone dial is simply gorgeous and is in superb condition, with no marks - more clean than photographed. It is signed 'Breitling Geneve', 'Cadette' and 'Swiss' and features applied numbers and hour batons. The original steel hands are in excellent unbent condition, and the lens is very clear.
The original hand-wound 17 jewel Breitling movement [Cal 523N] is in good, bright condition for its age, and is signed 'Breitling' '17 Jewels', '523N' and 'Swiss'. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
This lovely watch is on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly, and comes complete with a new, quality presentation case, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
A superb collection-standard vintage watch from one of history's most famous names; full of charm and elegance. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
