This is a stunning, huge Rolex conversion - a simply amazing piece that will certainly be noticed on your wrist. Please note that any marks on the case are light shadows; the case has no significant wear. Dating from the 1930s, the watch was made for the British market and was retailed by Fortnun & Mason - one of the world's most historic luxury stores. It features a huge 42mm solid 9ct gold case, extremely high quality, crisp 17 jewel hand-wound Rolex movement and a beautiful mint dial. The watch comes complete with a new leather strap and a new, quality presentation case. Conversions of this quality are highly collectable due to their uniqueness and will only rise further in value, making it an excellent financial investment as well as a beautiful possession.

The huge solid 9ct case is in excellent, near-mint gleaming condition for its age, with no significant wear. It measures 42mm wide, excluding the winding crown x 47mm long, including the gold fixed bar lugs. The outside back carries the inscription '1914-1939'. The case back closes correctly and firmly and the inside is signed 'Rolex', '25 Worlds Records', 'Geneve Suisse', 'RWCLtd', the '1005842 2274 2345' case reference numbers and English hallmarks for solid 9ct gold.

The beautiful dial is in excellent mint clean condition and is signed 'Rolex' and 'Fortnum & Mason London'. The original steel hands are in excellent, unbent condition, and the lens is very clear.

The hand-wound Rolex 17 jewel movement is superb quality - Rolex highest grade movement from this era - and is in simply excellent condition, even brighter and sharper than photographed. It features Geneva striping and is centre jewelled, with gold jewel chatons. The movement is signed 'Rolex', '15 Rubies', 'Elinvar balance & HPG', 'Breguet HPG', '6 Adj' and 'Swiss'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order.

We have put the watch is on a new leather strap and the watch comes complete with a new, high quality watch box.

A superb watch from one of history's most famous names; full of charm and 'wow' factor. Again, will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
