Rolex Precision steel gents vintage watch - c1954

This is a stunning gents Rolex vintage watch we are releasing from our private collection, certainly one of the most beautiful we have ever offered for sale. Dating from 1954, the watch is in as near to mint condition as you will find for a watch of this age and all parts of the watch are original. The watch features a large 35mm steel case, original winding signed crown, mint clean dial - brighter than photographed - with rare ''arrow'' centre-seconds hand and a clean, serviced hand-wound Rolex 17 jewel movement. It comes complete with a later Rolex steel buckle, a new, quality Hirsch leather strap and a new, quality presentation case.

The steel case is in excellent, near-mint gleaming condition, with extremely minor wear and measures 35mm wide, excluding the original signed winding crown [signed with the famous Rolex coronet emblem] x 43mm long, including the lugs. The case back closes very tightly and the inside is signed ''Rolex'', ''Geneva Swiss'', ''Acier Inoxydable'' and the ''9022'' reference number. The outside case back carries the ''280864'' case reference number. The outside back of the case carries the Rolex coronet emblem.

The beautiful dial is in mint condition, with applied steel batons and Rolex insignia. It is signed ''Rolex'', ''Precision'' and ''Swiss Made''. The original hands are in excellent, unbent condition, including the centre-seconds hand, which has a rare ''arrow'' tip. The lens is very clear, with no visible wear.

The hand-wound Rolex 17 jewel movement is in very good, clean condition, brighter and sharper than photographed. It is excellent quality, as you would expect, and is signed ''Montres Rolex'', ''Seventeen 17 Jewels'', ''Geneva Swiss'' and the '' N40576'' reference number. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in excellent working order.

We have put this lovely watch on a new, quality black Hirsch leather strap, attached to which is a later steel Rolex buckle. The watch comes complete with a new, high quality watch case.
