This is a rare Patek Philippe gents watch (Ref 2592), dating from the early 1960s and in very good condition. The watch features very rare lugs, a solid 18ct gold case, original unrestored dial and a clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Patek Philippe 18 jewel movement (Cal 23-300). It comes complete with a new quality Hirsch strap and a new, quality non-Patek presentation case. The watch makes an impressive statement on the wrist and will only rise in value. it.
The solid 18ct yellow gold case is in excellent gleaming condition and measures 32mm wide, excluding the original pushers and non-original replacement winding crown x 7mm thick x 38mm long, including the lugs. The lugs are a rare design, as you can see from the photos. The inside back of the case is signed ‘Patek Philippe & Co’, ‘Geneve Swiss’, the ‘2602692’ serial number and the appropriate hallmarks for Swiss 18ct gold. The case does not carry a personal inscription.
The original, unrestored dial is in near mint condition, with no significant wear, and is signed 'Patek Philippe’ and ‘Geneve’. The original hands are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is very clear.
The hand-wound Patek Philippe 18 jewel movement (Cal 23-300) is in excellent, clean, crisp condition - brighter than photographed - and is signed ‘Patek Philippe & C0 Genéve’, ‘Eighteen 18 Jewels’, ‘Adjusted to Isochronism Heat, Cold, Five *5) Positions’, ‘Swiss’, the ’781429’ serial number and ‘23-300’ . The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order.
We have put this lovely watch on a new quality Hirsch strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-Patek watch case.
