This is one of those watches that hasn't photographed particularly well. The camera has made it look a bit muddy and gloomy whereas the actual watch is in stunning, clean, gleaming condition, with hardly any eye visible wear - or your money back.
This is a stunning Omega vintage watch, dating from 1944 and certainly one of the finest Omega vintage watches we have seen for a very long time. The watch is in excellent, clean condition, with no significant wear, and is signed 'Turler' as well as Omega. Turler were and still are an exclusive Swiss jeweller and many watches by top makers from this era were retailed by Turler.
The watch features a solid 18ct gold case with lovely curved lugs, original winding crown, mint clean original two-tone dial with 18ct gold applied dial markings and a clean, freshly serviced 'bumper' automatic Omega 17 jewel movement. It comes complete with a new leather strap and a new, quality non-Omega watch box. The watch makes a very impressive statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a history, and will only rise in value. The watch is even better in reality than photographed so we know someone is going to be very pleased to receive it.
The solid 18ct yellow gold case is in excellent gleaming condition, with no significant wear, and measures 32mm wide, excluding the original unsigned winding crown x 39mm long, including the lovely curved lugs. The inside back of the case is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab Suisse Swiss Made', '10798263' and carries the appropriate hallmarks for Swiss solid 18ct gold. The case does not carry a personal inscription.
The original, unrestored two-tone dial is in near as near to mint condition as you will find for a dial of this age, with no significant wear whatsoever. The dial is just beautiful and features 18ct gold applied hour markers and Omega emblem. It is signed 'Omega Automatic', 'Turler' and 'Swiss Made'. The original hands, including centre seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is perfectly clear.
The automatic Omega 17 jewel movement is in excellent, clean condition - much brighter than photographed. It is clear from the condition that the movement has rarely been worked on and very carefully. It is signed 'Omega', '17 Jewels', 'Swiss', '10706893'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.
We have put this lovely watch on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-Omega watch case.
A rare, highly collectible vintage watch from a top maker; full of meaning and history. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
