IWC Schaffhausen 14ct gold gents vintage watch - c1960s

This is a stunning, very rare IWC Schaffhausen watch, dating from the late 1960s and in excellent, clean condition, with no significant wear. The watch features a beautifully clean original dial, solid 14ct gold case and a freshly serviced hand-wound IWC movement. It comes complete with a new leather strap and a new, quality non-IWC presentation case. The watch is a ‘front loader’, which means that the movement/dial have to be taken out of the front of the case by using a special tool to remove the lens and dismantling the crown. The watch makes a beautiful statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a history, and will only rise in value. We know someone is going to be very pleased to receive it.

The solid 14ct yellow gold case is in excellent gleaming condition and measures 34.5mm wide, excluding the winding crown x 10.5mm thick x 40mm long, including the lugs. The inside back of the case is fully signed IWC Schaffhausen, with Swiss hallmarks for 14ct gold. The case does not carry a personal inscription.

The original, unrestored cream dial is in virtual mint condition and features applied hour markers and IWC emblem. It is signed 'International Watch Co', 'Schaffhausen' and 'Swiss'. The original hands, including centre seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is very clear.

The hand-wound IWC movement is in excellent, clean, crisp condition and is fully signed IWC Schaffhausen and Swiss. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.

We have put this lovely watch on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-IWC watch case.
