Heuer Carrera 45 chronograph vintage watch - c1966

This is a very fine example of the legendary Heuer Carrera 45 chronograph, dating from 1966 and in excellent all original condition - far better than photographed. It features a stainless steel screwback case, original winding crown and pushers, a clean original, unrestored silvered dial and an original Heuer Leonadis (Valjoux 92) hand wound movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order, with all functions working correctly. The watch comes complete with a new, quality leather racing strap, and a new, quality presentation case. It will provide a strong financial investment as well as a great watch to wear and show off.

The stainless steel screwback case is in excellent clean condition and measures 35.5mm wide, excluding the original winding crown and pushers. The back screws correctly closed and the inside back is signed ‘Heuer Leonidas SA’, ‘Swiss’, ‘Stainless steel’ and ‘92’.

The original, unrestored silvered dial is is in excellent clean condition, apart from wear at the edge of the dial between the 8 and 11 positions. The dial is signed ‘Heuer Carrera’ and ‘Swiss’. The original hands are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is very clear.

The original hand-wound Valjoux 92 movement (17 jewels) is in excellent, bright, clean condition, and is signed 'Heuer Leonadis SA’, ‘Swiss’ and ‘Seventeen 17 jewels’. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order with all functions working correctly.

This beautiful watch is on a new quality leather racing strap, which suits it perfectly, and comes complete with a new, quality presentation box for safekeeping.
