Audemars Piguet solid 18ct white gold gents watch - c1960s

This is a beautiful Audemars Piguet gents vintage wafer thin dress watch (3mm thick), dating from the 1960s and in excellent all original condition - brighter than photographed. The watch features a solid 18ct white gold case, original winding crown, very clean original silvered dial, 18ct white gold hands and a mint clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Audemars Piguet 17 jewel movement. It comes complete with a new leather strap and a new, quality non-AP watch box. The watch makes a lovely statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a history, and will only rise in value. The watch is even better in reality than photographed so we know someone is going to be very pleased to receive it.

The solid 18ct white gold case is in very good original condition, with minor wear; it can be polished further to taste. It measures 26mm wide, excluding the original unsigned winding crown x 3mm x 32mm long, including the lugs. The inside back of the case is signed 'Audemars Piguet', 'Swiss', and carries the appropriate hallmarks for Swiss solid 18ct gold. The outside of the case carries the hand stamped '6141' case reference number. The case does not carry a personal inscription.

The original, unrestored silvered dial is in near mint condition and is signed 'Audemars Piguet' and 'Swiss Made'. The original 18ct white gold hands are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is perfectly clear.

The hand-wound Audemars Piguet 17 jewel movement is wafer thin and features Geneva striping. It is in excellent, clean condition - it is clear from the condition that the movement has rarely been worked on and very carefully. It is signed 'Audemars Piguet', 'Adjusted to temperatures and 4 four positions', 'Seventeen 17 Jewels' and 'Swiss'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order, with no issues.

We have put this lovely watch on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-AP watch case.
