This is an original signed charcoal drawing by Gregoire Boonzaier, a famous listed South African 20th Century artist who was friends with Irma Stern, among others. The drawing is guaranteed to be authentic. The paper has age and is in very good condition for its age, with minor ageing that has been exaggerated by the scanner.

Private collection of Stephen Baring. Collection includes two inherited collections and twenty five years of personal collecting.

Gregoire Johannes Boonzaier (1909 - 2005) was a versatile and prolific South African painter of landscapes, portraits, still lifes, seascapes and figures in oil, watercolour, ink, wash, pencil and charcoal, and a large number of linocuts.
