Rene Lalique vintage glass scarab beetle- authentic

This is a rare and beautiful vintage Rene Lalique glass scarab beetle. Please note that this is guaranteed to be authentic Lalique and the underneath is signed 'Lalique - France'. The beetle is in perfect condition apart from a couple of fine scratches on the underside that are hardly visible to the naked eye (the camera lens has magnified them). The beetle looks more beautiful in reality - the camera has given it a rather odd look. A highly collectible piece of vintage glass art.

René Jules Lalique (1860-1945) was a famous French glass designer known for his beautiful creations of glass art - perfume bottles, vases, jewellery, chandeliers, clocks and automobile hood ornaments. He started a glassware firm, named after him, which still remains successful.
