Description
This is a very beautiful Tiffany & Co ladies diamond vintage watch in excellent original condition. Dating from the 1950s, the watch is of course authentic and features a solid 14ct white gold case set with 28 glittering diamonds, a very clean dial, original crown and a high-grade Longines 17 jewel hand-wound movement. Longines made watches for Tiffany during this era and are of course a famous name in watch history. The watch is on a vintage cocktail strap and comes complete with a new, quality watch box. This is an extremely rare watch and will provide an outstanding financial investment as well as making someone very happy at Christmas.
My asking price is well below the true value of the watch, given the continual rise in value of Tiffany & Co watches of this quality. I will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order. I will also provide an insurance valuation, which will be in excess of my asking price. Also, I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. Please contact me if you would like to view the watch in central London.
The solid 14ct white gold case is in excellent bright condition for its age and is a really beautiful design, with lovely stepped lugs. It is decorated with 28 genuine glittery diamonds and measures 14mm wide, excluding the original unsigned winding crown x 34mm long, including the lugs. The outside back of the case closes tightly and the inside is marked for solid 14ct gold.
The beautiful dial is in flawless condition and is signed ‘Tiffany & Co’. The original hands are in excellent, unbent condition and the lens is very clear, apart from a very minor tiny scuff mark in the top left hand corner.
The watch is fitted with a very high quality hand-wound Longines 17 jewel movement [Cal 410]. The movement is centre-jewelled and in mint clean condition. It is signed ‘Longines’, ‘17 Jewels’ and the ‘51500360’ movement reference number. The movement has just been serviced by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
This stunning watch is on a vintage cocktail strap with metal clasp, which is in good condition. The entire watch/strap measures 153mm long from tip to tip. You can make it longer by choosing a piece of cord of the same thickness, cutting to size and feeding it through the lugs an reattaching to the clasp ends - a simple procedure. The watch will be posted in a new, quality presentation case for safekeeping and for wrapping as a very special Christmas gift.
A superb, valuable watch from one of history's most famous names; full of charm and elegance. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy
