Description
This is a beautiful gents Dunhill Art Deco vintage watch from my private collection. Dating from the 1930s, during the Art Deco era, the watch is in very good, bright condition for its age and features a solid silver case, gorgeous Art Deco dial and a quality Swiss movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in good working order for a watch of this age. The watch comes complete with a new, quality leather strap and a new watch box. The watch was made as a gents watch but is small by todays standards; it will suit either a gent who prefers a smaller watch or a lady who prefers a larger one.My asking price is below the value of the watch. Such is the high quality of the watch, I will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order. I also include a professional insurance valuation, in excess of my asking price. Also, I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. The solid silver case is in very good, bright condition for its age and measures 27mm wide, excluding the winding crown x 35mm long, including the fixed bar lugs. The back of the case closes correctly and the inside is hallmarked for solid silver and carries the case reference numbers ‘709361’.
The beautiful Art Deco dial is in very clean condition and is signed ‘Dunhill’. The original hands are in excellent unbent condition, and the lens is clear.
The original Swiss 15 jewel movement is in very good bright, clean condition and was made for Dunhill by Record, a famous Swiss watchmaker of the era. It is signed ‘Record W Co’, ‘Geneve’, ‘Fab Suisse’ and ‘15 Jewels’. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
As mentioned, this lovely watch is on a new, quality leather strap. The watch comes complete with a watch box, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
