Description
This is a very rare and absolutely beautiful Tiffany & Co. ladies vintage watch, dating from the 1930s Art Deco era and in very good condition for its age, with the minor wear you would expect. It features a beautifully hand-enamelled solid 18ct white and yellow gold case, original winding crown, a very clean dial, and a quality 15 jewel Swiss movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age. The watch comes complete with a new Hirsch leather strap, and a new, quality presentation case. It will provide a strong financial investment.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are
not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days
if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas,
in the same condition. I also provide a full receipt, six months
guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order) and a
professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and view
the watch at our central London address, in the New Bond Street area. I
offer my customers online prices - well below value - with offline
availability and service.
The solid 18ct gold case is made from both white and yellow gold and features beautiful hand-enamel work. It is in very good, bright condition, with very minor wear to the enamel. It measures 15mm wide, excluding the original unsigned winding crown and pushers x 38.5mm long, including the solid gold fixed bar lugs. The back closes tightly and the inside carries Swiss hallmarks for solid 18ct gold. The outside back of the case carries the ‘1505589’ case reference number.
The beautiful Art Deco dial is extremely clean and features the sought-after red 12. It is signed ‘Tiffany & Co’. The original blued steel hands are in very good unbent condition and the lens is very clear.
The hand-wound movement was made for Tiffany by respected Swiss makers Vulcain. It is in bright condition, brighter than the muddy photo shows, and is signed ‘Vulcain’, ‘3 adjustments’ and ‘15 jewels’. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order for its age.
I have put this stunning watch on a new, Hirsch calf leather strap and it comes complete with a new, quality presentation case, for safekeeping.
A superb collection-standard vintage watch from one of watch history's most exclusive names. Will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
