This is a rare Omega ‘red star’ 18ct gold gents watch, dating from the 1950s and in good all-original condition. The watch features a solid 18ct rose gold case, cream dial, original unsigned crown and a clean Omega 15 jewel hand wound movement. The watch comes complete with a gently used leather strap which we can change for a new black or dark brown Hirsch strap - let us know which. It will be posted in a new quality watch box.

My asking price is reasonable for a watch that will only rise further in value. Such is the high quality of the watch, I will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the running order. I also include a professional insurance valuation, in excess of my asking price. Also, I offer a full refund if you are not entirely happy, as long as the watch is returned within seven days if UK customer, fourteen days if overseas, in the same condition. The solid 18ct rose gold case is in good, bright condition for its age, with minor wear - it can be polished out to suit your taste. The outside back of the case is in lovely condition with no personal inscription. It measures 34mm wide, excluding the original unsigned crown x 42mm long including the gold lugs. The back of the case closes tightly and the inside is signed ‘Omega Watch Co’, ‘Fab Suisse Swiss Made’ the ‘10711037’ case reference number, and carries Swiss hallmarks for solid 18ct gold.

The rare ‘red star’ dial is in clean condition, with minor wear, and features alternate Arabic numbers. The dial is signed ‘Omega’ and ‘Swiss made’. The original hands, including sub-seconds hand, are in good unbent condition and the lens has tiny scratches that will polish out.

The hand-wound Omega 15 jewel movement is in good condition and is signed ‘Omega’, ‘Swiss’, ‘15 Jewels’ and the movement reference number ‘10503339’. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order.

This beautiful watch comes complete with a used leather strap, which can be changed for a new Hirsch black or brown strap. It will be posted in a new quality watch box, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
