Enquire about this product

This is a stunning Omega silver officers watch, dating from 1916 and certainly one of the rarest Omega vintage watches we have seen for a very long time. The watch is in excellent, clean condition for a watch dating back nearly 100 years and features a solid silver hinged case with inner cuvette, original winding crown, clean original porcelain 24 hour dial and a clean, freshly serviced hand-wound Omega movement. It comes complete with a new leather strap and a new, quality non-Omega watch box. The watch makes a very impressive statement on the wrist, something a bit different with a history, and will only rise in value. The watch is even better in reality than photographed so we know someone is going to be very pleased to receive it.

Please note that the stickers with the red line you see on the outside back of the case and on the inner cuvette (lid) peel off very easily. They are put there as protection after service.

The solid silver hinged case is in excellent gleaming condition and measures 33mm wide, excluding the original unsigned winding crown x 38mm long, including the solid silver fixed bar lugs. The back of the case opens on a hinge and there is also an inner silver cuvette (lid). Both open and close correctly, with the hinge in very good order. The inside back of the outer case is signed 'Omega', '6380004' and carries the appropriate hallmarks for Swiss solid silver. The outside of the inner cuvette is signed 'Omega' and 'Grand Prix Paris 1900'. The inside of the inner cuvette is signed with the same hallmarks and '6380004' reference number. The case does not carry a personal inscription.

The original, unrestored porcelain 24 hour dial is in very bright, clean condition for its age, with a couple of minor hairlines. The dial is just beautiful and is signed 'Omega'. The original cathedral hands are in excellent unbent condition and the lens is clear.

The hand-wound Omega movement is in excellent, clean condition for its age and is signed 'Omega' and '5808524'. The movement has just been serviced by a master watchmaker and is in very good working order for a watch of this great age, with no issues.

We have put this lovely watch on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new non-Omega watch case.

A rare, highly collectible vintage watch from a top maker; will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to enjoy.
